Dr. Shari L. Gustin, O.D.
Dr. Shari L. Gustin, O.D. moved to Webster and founded Webster Eyecare Associates in 1994. She, along with her husband Michael, purchased the practice from Dr. Robert Brennan who owned it the previous 30 years. Dr. Gustin feels a private practice setting allows her to provide professional care in a comfortable environment where she can build long-term relationships with her patients.
Dr. Gustin specializes in primary eye care for all ages. This involves comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, contact lens fittings, as well as, pre and post op eye care. She graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester in 1986 where she received both a BA in Biology and a BA in Psychology. Dr. Gustin was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1991 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where she graduated with honors. She is a member of the Rochester Optometric Society, New York State Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Gustin resides in Webster with her husband Michael and son Ryan.
Dr. Jason Hochreiter, O.D.
Dr. Jason R. Hochreiter joined Webster Eyecare Associates on September 1, 2016. Dr. Hochreiter grew up in Penfield, NY, graduated from Penfield High School and completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at St. John Fisher College. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and completed a Residency in Pediatric Optometry and Binocular Vision at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr. Hochreiter’s first professional role was as staff Optometrist, and ultimately the Deputy Director of Optometry Services, at the Yukon-Kusokwim Delta Regional Hospital in Bethel, Alaska. Traveling between the hospital and various remote villages, he provided full scope optometric care for the native populations of Alaska for over six years. He then moved to the Rochester area where he has been providing care in a private practice setting for the past 7 years.
Dr. Hochreiter has served as adjunct faculty at multiple schools of Optometry. He has also served as a Clinical Investigator and on a speaker’s bureau for contact lens manufacturers. Dr. Hochreiter provides full scope optometric care including pediatric eye examinations and medical management of dry eye disease.
Dr. Hochreiter resides in Ontario, NY with his wife and two sons.
Optician Mike Gustin
Mike started in the optical field in 1987 as a contact lens sales rep covering most of NY State. He received his Optician Degree from Mater Dei College in Ogdensburg in 1991 and his State Dispensing and Contact Lens License as well.
Mike has been a partner of Webster Eye Care Associates with is wife Shari since 1994. Mike is an expert when it comes to eyewear and all shooting sports glasses.
Mike is very involved with the community and served on the Webster Central School Board, coached youth sports, and volunteers his time with local organizations.
His hobbies include going to Pittsburg Steelers Football games, fishing, hunting, and cooking for tailgate parties.
Optician Sarah Collins
Sarah received her Associate's Degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY and her NYS Ophthalmic Dispensing License in 2014. She has been with Webster Eye Care Associates since July 2015. Sarah resides in Wolcott, NY and enjoys spending time with her family and two sons.
Optician Dan Kampff
Dan attended college at SUNY Geneseo and received his optician's degree in 2016. He received his Optician Degree after completing the program.
Dan has been with Webster Eye Care since July 2022 and looks forward to a long career here. Dan is an expert when it comes to eyewear and eyewear repair, including soldering.
Dan is very involved with the community and serves on the Board of Directors of The Miracle Field of Greater Rochester. Dan also coaches all the youth programs associated with Miracle Field and volunteers at every event possible. His hobbies include watching the Boston Red Sox and Miami Dolphins. He also enjoys cycling, working out, playing video games, working in his gardens, and hanging out with his dog.
