Plans to Reopen the Office on May 18th

To All of Our Valued Patients,

We miss seeing all of you in the office and are anxiously awaiting the reopening of our practice! Hopefully, you and your families are staying safe and healthy.

Per state government guidelines, we are expecting to resume normal eye care services on Monday, May 18th. We currently remain available for eye emergencies, medical concerns, contact lens orders, medication refills, and urgent optical/eyewear needs. Please call 585-265-3710 for any of these matters.

In the meantime, per CDC recommendations, we are very busy preparing for a safe and comfortable environment once you return.

STEPS WE ARE TAKING:

  • LIMITING the number of eye exams performed each day to give us time to clean and disinfect the exam rooms between each patient.

  • KEEPING chairs in waiting room 6 feet apart and installing enclosures at the check-in and check-out desk to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

  • OBTAINING masks, gloves, face shields, and extra cleaning supplies for doctors and staff.

  • IMPLEMENTING Telemedicine for patients when indicated

  • INITIATING new cleaning protocols, including disinfecting doorknobs, faucets, waiting room chairs, pens,  etc. throughout the day. Also, Handwashing for 20 seconds after all patient interactions.

REGARDING YOUR VISIT:

  • Be sure to have a mask/face covering ON before entering the office for your safety and for the safety of others.

  • Please come to your appointment by yourself or have your driver wait in the vehicle.  A minor may be accompanied by 1 adult.

  • If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID 19, we request that you call the office to reschedule your appointment.

  • Please fill out all intake forms prior to your arrival and bring a copy of your medications with you to your appointment.

  • When selecting new eyewear in the optical, an optician will be available to disinfect each frame prior to trying on.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.  We look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Sincerely,

Webster Eye Care Associates
